LTV Copperweld supplies both dead soft annealed (DSA) and hard drawn (high-strength and extra high-strength) conductors in a variety of sizes to meet the demands of the utility market. DSA Copperweld® is widely used as pole and structure ground wire for carrying lightning and fault currents to the ground. Copperweld® DSA strand is an ideal conductor material for grounding grids under power stations and in other areas where heavy electrical equipment must be grounded. LTV Copperweld's high-carbon, high-strength and extra high-strength grades usually serve as overhead conductors.
